Technology ambassadors – link between science and business
The technology ambassadors act on a voluntary basis as a link between science and business. They are available to interested companies in the city and region of Kaiserslautern as competent contacts and also represent the business location to international investors. The use of the technology ambassadors also serves to convey and visibly position the locational advantages of the Kaiserslautern region, particularly in the high-tech sector. As a business development agency, this is a particular concern for us with regard to the further positive development of Kaiserslautern as a business location.
Regarding the individuals:
Frank G. Froux is the founder and CEO of matelso, a Martech company founded in 2006 in Kaiserslautern. With around 25 years of experience in the IT and tech industry, the industrial engineer and tech enthusiast is continuously driven by one idea: to offer his customers value-creating digital solutions and platforms that support them in achieving their business goals.
Prof. Dr. Arnd Poetzsch-Heffter He was Vice President for Research and President of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, and subsequently Co-President of the RTPU Kaiserslautern-Landau. He is impressed by the successful transformation that the Kaiserslautern economic region has undergone in the last thirty years. The university, research institutes, and established and newly founded companies form an ecosystem here that produces globally successful products and offers great potential for the new wave of technologies in AI, robotics/autonomous systems, and biotechnology.
Arnd Poetzsch-Heffter has lived with his family in Kaiserslautern since 2002 — after periods in Kiel, Munich and the Ruhr area, as well as several stays abroad. Before taking on duties in the university's executive board, he held a professorship in software engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern.
